TEMPE, ARIZONA Maicer Izturis, Gary Matthews Jr and Erick Aybar homered as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim doubled up the San Diego Padres, 10-5.

The home run barrage helped cover for a shaky performance from Angels starter Joe Saunders, who allowed four runs and six hits in six innings while striking out four and walking one.

Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run homer for the Padres.

At Peoria, Arizona – Nelson Cruz hit a three-run homer for the Texas Rangers and Ken Griffey Jr. recorded a pair of doubles for the Seattle Mariners as the teams battled to a 7-7 draw in 10 innings.

At Tucson, Arizona – Emmanuel Burriss drove in three runs and Matt Cain struck out five in five solid innings to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 7-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

At Mesa, Arizona – Milton Bradley homered among three hits and Alfonso Soriano drove in a pair as the Chicago Cubs edged the Colorado Rockies, 9-8.

At Goodyear, Arizona – Fausto Carmona tossed five scoreless innings for the Cleveland Indians, but the Chicago White Sox reached Jensen Lewis for two runs in the seventh and the contest ended in a 2-2 tie after 10 innings.

At Surprise, Arizona – Mike Aviles hit a grand slam and Zack Greinke struck out eight in five innings to lead the Kansas City Royals to an 8-3 win over the Oakland Athletics.

At Glendale, Arizona – Manny Ramirez, Casey Blake and Brad Ausmus all hit solo home runs for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but closer Jonathan Broxton surrendered four runs and four hits in two-thirds of an inning as the Seattle Mariners rallied in the ninth to claim an 8-6 victory.
