Luis Bolivar and Ryan Hanigan each drove in two runs as well for Cincinnati, which scored four runs in the first inning and four more in the seventh.
Veteran righthander Bronson Arroyo started the game for the Reds, allowing a run, two hits and a walk in two innings pitched.
Philadelphia starter Andrew Carpenter did not record an out, getting tagged for four runs, three hits and three walks.

JUPITER, Florida Koji Uehara pitched two scoreless innings for the Baltimore Orioles, but it was not enough as the Florida Marlins posted a 3-2 victory.
In his Grapefruit League debut, Baltimores first Japanese player tossed two shutout innings, striking out three while giving up just one hit.
Former Marlins lefthander Mark Hendrickson allowed three runs – one earned – in an inning of relief.
Dallas McPherson and Jorge Cantu had RBI singles in a Floridas three-run third inning. The Marlins strung together four straight singles and were aided by two errors.
John Baker and Cody Ross each added two hits.
Held scoreless until the sixth inning, Baltimore got on the board when rookie catcher Matt Wieters doubled, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on Chris Gomezs RBI groundout.
MINNESOTA 5, NY YANKEES 4
LEE COUNTY, Florida Scott Baker was knocked around for three runs and six hits in two innings but the Minnesota Twins came from behind to claim a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees.
The Twins Opening Day starter, Baker is looking to build off an impressive campaign that saw him go 11-4 with a 3.45 ERA in 28 starts last season.
Jason Kubel blasted a home run and Danny Valencia had the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning to keep the Twins unbeaten in three games this spring.
Ian Kennedy had an impressive spring training debut for the Yankees, allowing just one hit while striking out three during his two innings of work.
The Yankees got a home run from Justin Leone while Brett Gardner, who is a candidate to start in center field, reached base in all three plate appearances, scored a run and stole a pair of bases.
ST. LOUIS 9, NY METS 8
PORT ST. LUCIE, New York Livan Hernandez pitched two perfect innings in his spring debut during the New York Mets 9-8 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The veteran righthander struck out one to gain the early upper hand for the No. 5 spot in the starting rotation over Freddy Garcia, who was not nearly as effective.
Garcia allowed four runs – two earned – and two hits with three walks in just two-thirds of an inning. An error by David Wright at third base did not help his cause.
Bobby Kielty hit a three-run homer to lead the Mets offensively.
St. Louis starter Todd Wellemeyer allowed three runs and four hits while striking out a pair in two innings of work. Josh Kinney, Jason Motte, P.J. Walters and Trever Miller combined to keep the Mets hitless over the next five innings.
Jarrett Hoffpauir and Allen Craig each had two hits and two RBI for the Cardinals.
ATLANTA 5, PITTSBURGH 2
BRADENTON, Florida Kenshin Kawakami tossed two scoreless innings in his North American debut, leading the Atlanta Braves to a 5-2 victory.
Kawakami, the 33-year-old former Japanese Central League MVP, allowed one hit and struck out one in his first game since signing a three-year, $23 million contract with the Braves.
Both Greg Norton and Chipper Jones homered to pace the Atlanta offense. Nortons solo shot came in the fourth before Jones drilled a two-run blast an inning later.
After needing only seven pitches to get through the first inning, Pirates starter Tom Gorzelanny worked his way out of a jam in the second on his way to two scoreless innings. He kept the Braves hitless but gave up two walks.
TAMPA BAY 12, BOSTON 4
PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida Evan Longoria hit a two-run homer as the Tampa Bay Rays rolled to a 12-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox in a game between last years American League Championship Series participants.
Longorias two-run shot in the second inning was the first home run of the spring for the Rays.
Fernando Perez had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Rays. Jason Bartlett added two hits and three RBI, while Tim Beckham, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2008 draft, got an infield hit in his first at-bat.
Rays starter Jeff Niemann, who is competing for the No. 5 spot in the rotation, pitched two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out two.
Red Sox righthander Michael Bowden, who played at three levels of Bostons organization in 2008, gave up four runs, five hits and two walks in 1 2/3 innings.
TORONTO 6, DETROIT 4
DUNEDIN, Florida Jason Lane hit his second home run of the spring and the Toronto Blue Jays captured a 6-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Brad Mills gave up just a single in two innings of work to earn the win while Matt Clement allowed one run, a hit and two walks to go with a strikeout in his two innings.
Aaron Hill, Rod Barajas and Kevin Millar each drove in a run for the Blue Jays.
After struggling for the Tigers last season, Dontrelle Willis got off to a rough start this spring, allowing four runs – two earned – and three hits with a walk in one-plus innings.
Armando Galarraga surrendered a run, two hits and a walk in two innings pitched for Detroit.
Alex Avila collected two hits and two RBI and Don Kelly recorded a pair of hits, including a home run, for the Tigers.

VIERA, Florida Shawn Hill pitched a perfect first inning, setting the tone for a well-pitched game as the Washington Nationals blanked the Houston Astros, 2-0.
After Hill, Gustavo Chacin, Marco Estrada and Jason Bergman pitched a combined six shutout innings, surrendering just two hits.
Washington scored two runs in the second inning on RBI doubles by Jesus Flores and Cristian Guzman.
Drew Sutton and Geoff Blum were the only Houston players to collect a hit, while Hunter Pence walked in the game.
