PORTLAND 102, TORONTO 89

Brandon Roy scored 18 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers posted a 102-89 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 points and Greg Oden had 16 and 10 rebounds for Portland, which shot 57 percent (20-of-35) in the second half.

Roy went 7-of-7 in the final quarter to help Portland extend a two-point lead to as much as 91-78 with four minutes to play. He scored nine points and assisted on the two other baskets during a key 13-2 run midway through the frame.

Chris Bosh paced the Raptors with 27 points.

ATLANTA 129, CHICAGO 117

ATLANTA Joe Johnson scored a season-high 41 points as the Atlanta Hawks secured their fourth straight win, a 129-117 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Josh Smith added 24 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Hawks, who outscored the Bulls, 31-22, in the fourth quarter.

Johnson shot 16-of-31 from the field, including 4-of-6 from the arc for Atlanta, which shot 56 percent (49-of-88) from the field.

The Bulls got 33 points from Ben Gordon, who also surpassed Scottie Pippen as the teams all-time leader in made 3-pointers.Gordon was 6-of-8 from the arc en route to a 669 career shots from the arc to pass Pippens mark of 664.

NEW JERSEY 114, CHARLOTTE 103 (OT)

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina Vince Carter scored 28 points and Devin Harris added 26 as the New Jersey Nets used a dominant final five minutes to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats, 114-103, in overtime.

Jarvis Hayes chipped in 14 points off the bench for the Nets, who outscored the Bobcats, 18-7, in the extra period.

Josh Boone opened the scoring in overtime with a layup and Keyon Dooling made a 3-pointer to give the Nets a 101-96 lead with 4:01 left.

Charlotte got back within two points but Dooling made another jumper and Hayes connected from the arc to give New Jersey a 106-99 lead with 1:46 remaining. The Bobcats never threatened again.

Raymond Felton tied the contest at 96-96 with 27 seconds to play in regulation, converting a three-point play after driving to the hoop for a layup. Harris and Carter each had a shot to win the game before the final buzzer, but both of their respective long jumpers were off the mark.

WASHINGTON 104, OKLAHOMA CITY 95

WASHINGTON Antawn Jamison scored 29 points and the Washington Wizards used a dominating final quarter to post a 104-95 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Andray Blatche posted 19 points and 15 rebounds and Juan Dixon added 13 points off the bench for the Wizards, who outscored the Thunder, 28-19, in the fourth quarter.

The teams entered the contest with a combined record of 7-50, marking the worst matchup between teams that had played at least 25 games in NBA history.

Entering the final quarter locked at 76-76, Earl Watson briefly gave the Thunder the lead with a jumper on the first possession. But Washington responded with a 12-0 run to go up, 88-78, and never looked back.

ORLANDO 118, MINNESOTA 94

MINNEAPOLIS It took a while for the Orlando Magics frontline to wear down the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Rashard Lewis, Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu combined for 67 points as the Magic raced away from the Timberwolves, 118-94.

Orlando outscored Minnesota, 39-20, in the final quarter to turn a tight game into a blowout.

The Timberwolves frontline accounted for 35 points as Orlando dominated up front.

Rashad McCants scored 21 points off the bench for Minnesota, which snapped a 13-game losing streak with a victory over the New York Knicks on Friday.

Jameer Nelson chipped in with 20 for the Magic.

HOUSTON 120, UTAH 115 (2OT)

HOUSTON Ron Artest scored 10 of his 28 points in the second overtime to help the Houston Rockets scrape out a 120-115 victory over the Utah Jazz in double overtime.

Yao Ming added 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets, who were without All-Star swingman Tracy McGrady, who was on the inactive list due to a sore left knee that has been bothering him all season.

The Jazz forced the first extra period by outscoring the Rockets, 26-16, in the fourth quarter, capped off by Deron Williams driving layup with 12 seconds remaining that tied the

game at 96-96. Williams scored six points in the final 1:40 of regulation.

Utah was without forwards Carlos Boozer (left quadriceps) and Paul Millsap (left PCL) along with center Mehmet Okur (lower back spasms) for the second straight game. Ronnie Brewer paced the Jazz with 21 points.

SAN ANTONIO 106, MEMPHIS 103 (2OT)

SAN ANTONIO Tony Parker helped the San Antonio Spurs avoid a grisly fate.

The All-Star guard scored 32 points as San Antonio held off the Memphis Grizzlies, 106-103, in double overtime.

Parker took control in the second overtime, hitting back-to-back 20-foot jumpers to give the Spurs a 105-100 advantage. O.J. Mayo countered for the Grizzlies, canning a shot from behind the arc to cut the lead to two.

The teams took turns missing shots before Marc Gasol snagged an offensive board off Mike Conleys errant shot. The Spurs knocked the ball out of bounds, and Memphis had it with less than 14 seconds left.

O.J. Mayo had his driving shot blocked and Rudy Gay had his attempt rejected, allowing San Antonio to escape.

DETROIT 87, MILWAUKEE 76

MILWAUKEE Tayshaun Prince scored 19 points and Allen Iverson added 18 as the Detroit Pistons came out strong in the second half en route to an 87-76 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rasheed Wallace added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Pistons, who posted a dramatic 90-88 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on the strength of Iversons last-second jumper Friday.

Detroit, which has been inconsistent this season, improved to 13-11 since acquiring the perennial All-Star in a trade with the Denver Nuggets.

The Pistons outscored the Bucks, 27-11, in the third quarter to take control of the game.

Andrew Bogut had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
