This year Sovereign Awards ceremony will be held on Dec 12, at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Toronto. The Jockey Club of Canada announced Tuesday.
In order to be worthy for Sovereign Awards consideration, 2-year-olds must have made two in Canada and 3-year-olds and ascendant in Canada this year by Nov. 23.
Eligible voters may launch passed by vote on at 9 a.m. Eastern on Nov. 27 and must cast their ballots by noon on Dec. 1.
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Chartered Accountants will audit the course of action and emancipation the names of the three finalists in the 14 divisional categories to the Jockey Club of Canada for release to the public on Dec. 5.
Divisional and Horse of the Year will be at the awards ceremony.
Media submissions must be received in the agency of the Jockey Club of Canada no future than 5 p.m. on Oct. 31. The four television are item porky, broadsheet artifact, photo, and film/cinematic/broadcast. Submissions must be of Canadian Thoroughbred racing or breeding content and must have been printed or have aired between Nov. 1, 2007, and Oct. 31, 2008.
Contestants in the radio categories are limited to one suggestion per category.
