Kentucky star Patrick Patterson is ahead of timetable in rehabbing an ankle wrong that cut short the center time in February.
Patterson, who had a stress rupture in his left ankle, has been in succession on a drudgery in a therapeutic pool at the school’s drill knack and be back on the court as premature as next month, coach Billy Gillispie said Thursday.
Patterson 16.4 points and 7.7 rebounds for the Wildcats last season as Kentucky a forcible commencement to finish 18-13 and qualify for the NCAA tourney for the 17th straight period.

Seven-foot center Zisis Sarikopoulos has transferred from UAB to Ohio State, Buckeyes coach Thad Matta Thursday.
Sarikopoulos, a natural of Greece, must sit out the 2008-09 term to quench NCAA relocation rulebook and will have seasons of appropriateness enduring.
Sarikopoulos played in 20 meet at UAB last term, averaging 1.8 points and 1.1 .
The Buckeyes lost freshman center Kosta Koufos to the NBA draft.
