Right-hander Romulo Sanchez was by the Pittsburgh Pirates from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday. A day after the team a 13-inning game against Tampa Bay.

Sanchez was 4-0 with four saves and a 2.85 ERA in 25 games at Indianapolis. Last season, he was 1-0 with a 5.00 ERA in 16 knockout with Pittsburgh.

With pitchers Ian Snell, Phil Dumatrait and Franquelis Osoria on the list, the Pirates have termed up or developed six in a week’s time. They so-called up Sanchez and reliever T.J. Beam, plus John Van Benschoten, Ty Taubenheim and Jimmy Barthmaier and for former Tigers reliever Denny Bautista.

Taubenheim and Barthmaier were sent back to Indianapolis after making spot starts during the holiday series against Tampa Bay, while Van Benschoten be the Pirates’ starter Wednesday in Cincinnati. Beam was , sent back down and recalled once more in a four-day span.

Bautista was in the fair forewarn by a line drive Friday in his leading Pirates game but was not on the disabled list. With Bautista silent on the 25-man roster, the Pirates are presently booming relievers.

General leader Neal Huntington said Yoslan Herrera, a former Cuban decanter signed by the Pirates before the 2007 term, also might start Wednesday. Herrera was only just promoted from Double-A Altoona to Indianapolis.
